How to prepare strip loin?
Cooking strip loin, also known as New York strip steak, is a delicious and straightforward process. Here's a basic method to cook strip loin:

1. Prepare the steak: Remove the strip loin from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This allows the steak to cook more evenly.

2. Season the steak: Generously season the strip loin with salt, pepper, and any other desired herbs or spices. You can also brush it with a bit of oil to enhance the flavor and prevent sticking.

3. Preheat the grill or pan: If using a grill, preheat it to medium-high heat. If using a pan, preheat it over medium-high heat and add a small amount of oil.

4. Sear the steak: Place the strip loin on the grill or pan and let it sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side. This will create a flavorful crust.

5. Cook to desired doneness: Continue cooking the steak, flipping it occasionally, until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of around 130-135°F (55-57°C).

6. Rest the steak: Once cooked, remove the strip loin from the heat and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute and ensures a moist and tender steak.

7. Slice and serve: After resting, slice the strip loin against the grain into thin slices. This helps to maximize tenderness. Serve the steak with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
